Lockheed 10A Electra Dreams Take Flight

Among the attractions at the Airliners 2006 convention in Washington was the chance to take a flight in a Lockheed 10A Electra from Washington/Dulles Airport. Visitors could fly in this classic aircraft in exchange for a donation to the Canadian Childrens Wish Foundation, although the aircraft is normally used for fund raising for the Dreams Take Flight Organisation. Operated by Air Canada employees, it travels around North America raising funds for charity, and during the convention it made 12 flights and made $3,800.
