BA Boss Makes Environmental Stand

The Chief Executive of British Airways, Willie Walsh, has called on world leaders to support an unprecedented agreement between airlines, aircraft manufacturers, airports and air navigation providers which sets a target of reducing the industry's net carbon emissions by 50% by 2050. Speaking at a United Nations (UN) forum in New York on September 22, he claimed the world has a "historic opportunity" to make real progress and "join the mainstream of the world's efforts to combat climate change."
