New Terminal at Riga International

Latvian National carrier airBaltic has been given a major boost after proposals for a new passenger terminal at Riga International Airport were approved by the country's Government. The airline has been in talks with airport operator TAV Holdings and Latvian construction company Skonto Buve for the construction of a state-of-the-art facility to support its dramatic network expansion. "The infrastructure of the Riga International Airport has already reached its design capacity limits, and so a newrnterminal is acutely needed to accomodate the growing passenger numbers," said airBaltic president and Chief Executive Bertolt Flick.
