Successful Safety Audit for Qazaq Air

KAZAKH REGIONAL carrier Qazaq Air has successfully completed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration regaining its authorised operator status. The renewal follows an audit in June 2019 that saw independent examiners perform a comprehensive check of nearly 1,000 standards and recommended practices in all areas of the company's operational activities. Plamen Atanassov, Qazaq Air CEO said: "A successful IOSA renewal confirmed the airline's commitment to the highest safety standards throughout all levels of the company. [The] registration allowed our airline to become a full member of IATA giving great opportunities for the development of co-operation with the global aviation community." Qazaq Air - which is owned by the state-run Kazakhstan Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund -began operations in August 2015 with a service connecting Almaty to Nursultan/Nazarbayev. The airline now has a fleet of five De Havilland Canada DHC-8 turboprops which it uses to connect 11 destinations.
