L3 Awards Female Scholarships

In a bid to increase diversity on the flight deck, L3Harris Technologies has awarded ten of its students L3Harris Pilot Pathways Female Scholarships during 2019. They have each received a share of £250,000, which can help finance Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) training. Geoff van Klaveren, vice-president of L3Harris' Airline Academy, said the company is "committed to showcasing the career among a wider group of people", describing the number of women pilots as a "significant issue for the industry". He added: "We congratulate the successful candidates and wish them long and exciting careers as pilots."
