First RAF Reaper retired

ONE OF the RAF's fleet of General Atomics Aeronautical Systems MQ-9A unmanned aerial vehicles has been retired from service. The withdrawal of this first RAF Reaper was confirmed by Stuart Andrew, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Defence, on February 25. Andrew said: "One of the RAF's Reaper fleet has reached the end of its viable flying life and is now in storage. This has no impact on operational tasking."
