Jordan modernises

The AI-Quwwat al-Jawwiya al-Malakiya al-Urduniya (Royal Jordanian Air Force, RJAF) has undergone an array of projects to optimise its effectiveness since AFM's last report on the service in February 2016. These have included modernising and standardising the aircraft inventory and overhauling training programmes and organisational structure. His Royal Highness King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein is closely involved with the armed forces and, guided by his vision, the RJAF is quickly developing into a modern air arm in a region with no shortage of political, religious and economic pressures.
