PNG Air turns corner with new fleet and rebranding

AFTER A chequered history, marred by seven fatal accidents, financial struggles and nearly being merged into the government airline, PNG Air, the carrier formerly known as Airlines PNG, has made a dramatic change in direction in its bid to win public confidence. This has included a considerable injection of local and shareholder investment, taking on a new name and livery and deciding to run its entire domestic and charter operation with turboprop ATR 72-600 aircraft.
