I strongly feel that "100 Years of Naval Aviation" (Feb./Mar. 2011) should have included the Vought F-8 Crusader. For over two decades, the F-8 was the best representative of the US. Navy fighter community, flying off all sizes of carriers. Unlike the McDonnell F4 Phantom II, which had a big career with the US. Air Force and the air forces of other nations, the F-8 was always identified with the Navy and, to a certain extent, the U.S. Marine Corps.
