Revised NSPS Issued for Stationary Combustion Turbines

EPA has issued final NSPS applicable to stationary combustion turbines ≥ 10 MMBtu/hr for which construction, reconstruction, or modification commenced after February 18, 2005. The agency estimates that about 355 new stationary combustion turbines will be installed in the United States over the next five years that will be subject to the new standards. However, none of these units will be required to install add-on controls to meet the NSPS nitrogen oxides (NO_x) emission limits.
