Voyager On Her Majesty's Service

In the last issue the author covered No.10 Squadron's transition to the Voyager multi-role tanker and its operational achievements to date and provided details of the aircraft and its major systems. That was an extensive feature but only half of a fascinating story. This concluding part covers training, maintenance and the all important role of the mission systems operator (MSO).'Achieving Excellence Together' is the banner under which the AirTanker training centre operates. Voyager training started at its Brize Norton hub in 2011 under the stewardship of AirTanker, which is responsible for all the training of pilots, MSOs, cabin crews and engineers.
