Russian Helicopters displayed the Mil Mi-171A2 at Heli-Expo, the type's first public presentation outside=Russia. Powered by uprated VK-2500PS-03 turbo-shaft engines (rated at 2,700shp (2,014kW) in two-minute OEI mode) with full authority digital engine control, the Mi-171A2 also features a new main rotor hub, composite blades and an X-shaped tail rotor. It is equipped with a new-generation glass cockpit and new intake dust filters tailor-made by the UK's Pall Corporation.
