Mi-35s Sought by Pakistan

Pakistan is seeking to acquire an undisclosed number of Mil Mi-35 Hind attack helicopters, according to Sergei Chemezov, head of Rostec, the Russian state-owned technology corporation. On June 2 Chemezov told the Itar-Tass news agency that the deal became possible after Russia lifted its embargo on weapons deliveries to Pakistan. Pakistan operates a number of Mil Mil-17 transport helicopters delivered between 1996 and 2010.
