Nine Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) T129A ATAK attack helicopters were handed over to the Turk Kara Kuvvetleri Komutanligi'na (Turkish Land Forces Command) on April 22 at TAI's facility in Ankara. They were ordered on November 8, 2010 in an interim combat support configuration known as Erken Duhul Helikopteri (early delivery helicopter) to meet an urgent operating requirement. Prototype and development T129s have flown over 4,000 hours.
