Boeing is thought to be interested in launching a passenger-to-freighter (PTF) conversion of the Boeing 777-200ER and possibly the baseline 777-200. The extended range version of the airliner is viewed as the better option for a Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) variant as it would be capable of carrying 25,132Ib (11,400kg) more than the -200 and flying approximately 1,740 miles (2,800km) further. If launched in the new year the first converted freighter would be available around 2013/2014.
