500th F-35 Stealth Fighter Delivered

LOCKHEED MARTIN and the F-35 Joint Program Office have delivered the 500th F-35 Lightning II, just after the multirole stealth fighter fleet surpassed 250,000 flight hours. Of the 500 aircraft so far delivered, 354 were F-35As - the conventional take-off and landing (CTOL) variant - 108 examples were the F-35B short take-off/ vertical landing (STOVL) version and 38 were F-35C carrier variants (CV).
