Rolls-Royce secures five-year V-22 contract

ON NOVEMBER 26, Rolls-Royce announced a US$1.2bn MissionCare contract to maintain AE 1107C turboshaft engines which power the US Air Force CV-22B and US Marine Corps (USMC) MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor as well as the CMV-22B due to enter service with the US Navy later this year, The contract makes Rolls-Royce responsible for all aspects of V-22 propulsion system support on a 'power-by-the-hour' basis.
