By the end of July, Boeing had delivered 27 out of the 53 P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft it currently has on contract with the US Navy and, in addition, was flight testing the last of India's first tranche of eight similar P-8I Neptunes. The company has also begun long lead component fabrication for Australia's first P-8A and is currently negotiating further production contracts for Lot 6 and 7 production (Full Rate Production batches 2 and 3).
