At the end of October, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) deployed to the Middle East on Operation Okra notched up the milestone of 65 million pounds (29 million kilos) of fuel offloaded to Australian and coalition aircraft over Iraq and Syria. The achievement is remarkable in that it involved just a single aircraft on rotation, since Australian involvement in operations against IS began in September 2014.
