LifeRCraft Technology Demonstrator

Airbus gave an update during the ILA Berlin Air Show in June about its LifeRCraft high-speed helicopter demonstrator project. The company said it passed an important milestone in the development earlier this year, when a mock-up of the airframe design underwent wind tunnel testing in an Airbus facility (the company didn't disclose which one). Airbus Helicopters said the tests, "proved the viability of the chosen design in terms of efficiency, sustainability and performance, paving the way for a preliminary design review expected [by the] end of 2016."
