A gunman killed two airmen and wounded two more in a shooting at Frankfurt Arpt., Germany, March 2. A1C Zachary R. Cuddeback, a vehicle operator assigned to the 86th Vehicle Readiness Squadron stationed at Ramstein Air Base, and SrA. Nicholas J. Alden assigned to the 48th Security Forces Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, England, were slain. The shooting occurred on a bus waiting to transport a 15-member security forces team from the airport to Ramstein, en route to Afghanistan for deployment. German authorities arrested the shooter and are investigating a possible terrorist motive and connection to radical Islamic groups.
