The Air Force needs to start thinking about new ways of doing business, according to Air Force Space Command's Gen. William L. Shelton. Evolving threats, expanding mission areas, and turbulent budgets mean USAF must look at contract reform, requirements for space launch, and even how it organizes missions.The missions and tasks the Air Force is charged with today, particularly in the realms of space, cyberspace, and intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance, are both critical and growing in importance. Dominance in these domains is far from assured.
