I read your article with great interest ["The Feeder Force," January, p. 67]. In 1941 I was not in college but working. Graduated from high school in 1939. Mr. Robert Hinckley was head of the CAA then I think. He started a "Non-College CPT" program. In Utah, they had ground schools in Salt Lake City, Ogden, and northern Utah. Had about 120, all told, with ground school to pass the private pilot written. I was in northern Utah. After the test they awarded 10 flight scholarships for a private license.
