Migration: UN agencies worried by Libyan NGO's networks

The United Nations' International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Refugee Agency (UNHCR) have, we understand, suspended their partnerships with the Sheikh Taher Azzawi Charity Organization (STACO), over concerns about the Libyan NGO's ties with militia groups that sometimes facilitate the passage of migrants to Europe in return for compensation. STACO did not respond to Africa Intelligence's queries about this suspension.
