Closed door negotiations under way to decide IBK's fate

Since they took power by force on 18 August, the putschist officers who form the Comité National pour le Salut du Peuple (CNSP) have been trying to decide what to do with ousted president Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta (IBK). The fate of the former Malian president, who was forced to resign after being been arrested and then transferred - respectfully - to the CNSP's new headquarters at the Kati military camp some 15 km north west of Bamako, is the object of intense talks behind closed doors.
