Andy Demetriou leading Woodside’s charge on the continent

The Australian independent oil firm Woodside Energy, operating the Senegalese oilfield SNE, is counting more than ever on one its directors to increase its African portfolio. After serving as the Africa business advisor for the group from 2015, Andy Demetriou was appointed general manager in charge of the continent in March 2019. Demetriou works out of London. He has a considerable experience in the oil and gas sector having put in a nine-year spell with Tullow Oil, as a senior business advisor in Uganda. He graduated from the prestigious Swiss Les Roches school of hotel management and is currently completing a masters in global diplomacy from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
