FIELD: ammunition, in particular, manufacture of anti-tank missiles.;SUBSTANCE: the value of the differential of diameters of the tapered and cylindrical sections of the extensible case of the leading charge is measured in the process of manufacture with the aid of a meter. The measurement of the differential value is accomplished in the tapered section in a check point removed from the point of differential at a distance determined according to a mathematical dependence. The result of measurement is determined by the value of travel of the meter movable leg from the surface of the cylindrical section to the check point of the tapered section. Use is made of a meter that has a pointer indicator with a movable leg, datum plane with a stop and an end face stop. The pointer indicator is fastened on the datum plane installed on the plane of the end face stop.
