New Saudi Arabian start-up carrier Saudi Gulf has signed a deal for 16 Bombardier CS300 CSeries airliners - with options for a further ten. The deal, at list prices, works out at around $2bn for the firm orders. Saudi Gulf will begin operations in October 2015. However, Bombardier has pushed the first delivery of its CS100 CSeries airline to the second half of 2015 - a slippage of six months on the programme - due to extra time needed to guarantee 'overall system maturity'.
