Over the past few months I have been getting acclimated to the department and all its responsibilities and rewards, and one thing stands out—the number of nominations. Looking through the past few years I have noticed a decline in nominations for the numerous awards that AIAA bestows on it membership. The pool of talented men and women throughout the world within the AIAA membership is staggering. From CEOs to astronauts from engineers to educators, all these gifted people have earned the right to be recognized by their peers.
