Norwegians return to 'Weald

The 60th anniversary of the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) was celebrated at North Weald during the Spirit of North Weald Community Day fly-in on September 13. Honoured guests were a group of six Norwegian pilots who flew Supermarine Spitfires from the illustrious Essex fighter base during 1942-44 with 132 Wing RAF, which became the founder unit of the RNoAF when it was officially formed at North Weald in November 1944.
