Flying the M.B.5

The martin-baker M.B.5, with its top speed of 460 m.p.h., will be remembered as the piston-engined fighter pushed to the extreme limit of technical achievement. Flying the machine recently at RAF Chalgrove showed that this performance was in no way gained at the expense of other essential characteristics of a modern fighter.
