Historic FAA DC-3 for Texas Museum

The only aeroplane listed on the USA's National Register of Historic Places, Douglas DC-3 N34, has been donated to the Texas Air and Space Museum by the Federal Aviation Association (FAA). It was due to fly from its base at Oklahoma City to its final resting place at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport on February 13. The 69-year-old aeroplane is one of just two movable items on the list, the other being San Francisco's famed cable cars.
