A German company has developed a range of laminate; and an ink-jet printing process, both for garments designed to offer safety and protection to the wearer. Trans-Textil GmbH of Freilassing will sell the laminates under the name of Windworker.and claims they provide good thermal insulation,good breathability (they have a Ret value, as defined by the international standard ISO I 1092, of between 6 and 25), durability, water- and stain-repellence.and a low permeability to air (they are windtight). The laminates also withstand industrial washing procedures at 60°C, and are intended for use, in combination with other functional textiles, to make high-visibility clothing, and garments that protect against water, the cold, heat and flames.
