Q:I am receiving requests from lenders to indi-cate on the survey if there is no evidence relating to items 16 through 19 of Table A. My understanding is that if it is not shown on the survey that means there is none. Should I comply with their request or I can argue that it is not required as per 2011 standards? A: The surveyor's responsibility is to show the evidence, not necessarily comment on it, and I would probably point that out to the lender. However, if you can craft some language for notes that mimic the wording in the Table A items and that make factual statements, then there is probably no harm in it.
