ERM IDEAS AND INNOVATIONS

Digital repositories management is one aspect of ERM that has become increasingly important in the academic environment. While we demonstrated that Emery and Stone's TERMS can be applied to digital repositories in general, TERMS has important guidelines that are needed to manage electronic resources in archives. The HS/HSL's University of Maryland Digital Archive is one example of the lifecycle management of electronic resources from implementation and content selection to reevaluation and review in light of new and emerging trends in digital access and discovery addressed in TERMS.
