One year, as the festive season approached, an accountancy firm hit on a wizard idea for a Christmas gift for its clients. They arrived at their offices to find they had been sent a box, which turned out to be a small cage. A day or so later came packets of bird food. But the piece de resistance was the delivery to the clients of live homing pigeons. The idea, apparently, was to put the birds in the cages, attach a note, then release them to fly back to the accountants.
