Your blend of commercial know-how and technical skills are in great demand, you can pretty much state your terms when negotiating your remuneration package, and your promotion prospects have never been brighter. This is reflected in the fact that 39% of ACAs are operating at board level - with an average age of 43 - and 67% of the qualified accountants in chief executive or finance director posts in the FTSE 100 companies are ACAs - four times as many as any other qualification.
