The ICAEW took the opportunity at the American Accounting Association's annual meeting in August - the world's biggest gathering of accountancy academia - to showcase its thought leadership work.rnA big issue dominating this year's meeting, which was held in New York, was possible US adoption of international financial reporting standards which would strongly affect what academics will be teaching the next generation of accounting professionals.rnFor the first time at the AAA, there was also major discussion on issues relating to sustainability.
