This consultation addresses the use of corporate and other envelopes to buy high value residential property. It covers Budget 2012 announcements on an annual charge on residential properties valued over £2m owned by certain 'non-natural' persons (ie, companies, partnerships including companies and collective investment schemes); and extension of CGT to disposal by certain non-resident persons of residential property, interests in such property, or envelopes in which they are held.
