BIG FOUR NON-AUDIT FEE INCOME FALLS

Fee income for non-audit work to audit clients has fallen again for the Big Four firms, continuing a trend witnessed over the last five years. According to the Professional Oversight Board's (POB) 10th annual report, Key Facts and Trends in the Accountancy Profession, the percentage of fee income from non-audit work for audit clients was down from 18% in 2006 to 14% in 2011.
