KPMG UK's new senior partner has spelt out a vision of growth while playing down fears of redundancy at the number three ranked firm. Simon Collins, 51, takes over from outgoing senior partner John Griffith-Jones this October, who will also stand down as co-chairman of KPMG's European partnership. Collins, who is currently the firm's global head of transactions and restructuring, said: 'We have to be excellent in the individual services that we provide, and we have to compete against the best of breed, whether that is against other accounting firms, actuaries or investment banks. You can't possibly do this on any sustainable basis unless you operate at the highest level of integrity.'
