APwC partner has narrowly defeated the ICAEW's council chairman to become the next vice president. In a closely fought battle, Big Four audit partner Andrew Ratcliffe (pictured) won the election, beating Nick Parker, a tax director at RSM Tenon, by a single vote. Ratcliffe will take over as vice president in June when another Big Four partner, Deloitte's Martyn Jones becomes president. Ratcliffe will be nominated as president in two years' time.
