PUMPED UP DAVE AT THE ICAEW

Still at the ICAEW, a little birdie merrily reminisced about the surprising election results, and how David Cameron turned up at Chartered Accountants' Hall to deliver his embarrassingly passionate, 'pumped up' speech in the last days of the election campaign. Yet, it very nearly never got there - it seems the PM's minions had forgotten the small detail of booking a venue for the 'roll up your sleeves' salvo, and called upon the good people at Moorgate Place at the eleventh hour. So it was that 200-odd Tory members and the PM were able to roll up their sleeves for the final push. Perhaps the ICAEW knew something the pollsters didn't by backing the winning horse?
