Avery Dennison has developed technology which enables consumers to scan a label with their smartphone, and view the garment's "journey," tracking it back from creation to the point of sale. The label also confirms the authenticity of the product, along with its sustainability credentials. Brands have full visibility of the products journey throughout the supply chain, and access to data and statistics across different sales channels in real time. The technology helps to bring greater transparency to the supply chain by using blockchain.
