摘要

This study aimed to evaluate changes in the vertical and fore-aft force generation of thehindlimbs in dogs with stifle orthoses. Custom-made orthoses were used on the right stiflejoint. Force plate and marker data from four beagle dogs in trials without orthoses, withfixed orthoses, and with unfixed orthoses were collected. The vertical ground reactionforce of the right side was increased with fixed orthoses and decreased with unfixedorthoses compared to that of gait without orthoses. When compared to that of gait withoutorthoses, the fore-aft ground reaction force changed with fixed orthoses but not withunfixed orthoses. It is suggested that the level of constraint of the orthosis affectedthe ground reaction force pattern.
