Treatment of multiple physiological and psychological disorders inone patient with stellate ganglion block: a case report

Patients with several concurrent illnesses often present with complexmanifestations and therefore receive a variety of treatments. The purpose ofthis report was to describe a patient diagnosed with hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’sencephalopathy, cerebral infarction, and ventricular arrhythmia. The patientalso had multiple physiological and psychological disorders, includingdizziness, frequent ventricular premature beats, hypotension, anxiety, andinsomnia. Among other treatments, the patient received a stellate ganglion blockand most symptoms were substantially alleviated. Therefore, stellate ganglionblock appears to be a useful approach for treating perplexing clinicalconditions in patients with autonomic dysfunction.
