Background: The subfamily Geoplaninae (Geoplanidae) includes land planarian species of theNeotropical Region. In Argentina, the knowledge about land planarian diversity is stillincipient, although this has recently increased mainly in the Atlantic Forest ecosystem.However, other regions like Chacoan forests remain virtually unexplored.
