Newborn chicks were orally administrated with 200 μL PBS or (10  CFU) suspended in 200 μL PBS once a day, for a period of 10 days. Chicks were orally administered (10  CFU) on the fifth day. On the 10 day, chickens were sacrificed and subsequent experiments were performed. Changes in chicks’ body weight were monitored each day;  = 12.
