While empagliflozin (25 mg) is used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus patients with optimum renal functioning, its efficacy and safety in type-1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is not yet established. Therefore, this study aimed to compare insulin-treated T1DM patients’ (with adequate renal functioning) glycemic and blood pressure control between the 25 mg empagliflozin recipients and placebo recipients.
