ObjectiveABCG1 is highly expressed in macrophages and endothelial cells, two cell types that play important roles in the development of atherosclerosis. We generated Abcg1^−/−Apoe^−/− mice in order to understand the mechanism and cell types involved in changes in atherosclerosis following loss of ABCG1.
